SARC is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and support of clinical trial research for the prevention, treatment and cure of sarcomas - a cancer of the bone and connective tissue of the body.
SARC was founded by physicians specializing in sarcoma collaborating to advance the care of their patients. The operations office is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. However, the collective leaders of SARC consist of respected sarcoma physicans located across the country, working together to develop new strategies to improve the outcomes of sarcoma patients.
SARC collaborators meet twice annually to discuss the latest therapies and concepts for new clinical trials.
Other important SARC initiatives include the Career Development Award to foster innovative research by new investigators as well as the completed development of a research database to collect prospective data on these rare cancers.
