Description of the Organization’s Mission:
Since 2001, the Amschwand Sarcoma Cancer Foundation (ASCF) has raised both awareness and critical funds needed to meet the needs of thousands of persons diagnosed with sarcoma. The organization has made great strides in offering tangible support to families and has succeeded in supporting promising young researchers. ASCF continues to educate the public about sarcoma and works to ensure easy access to information, child care, financial assistance and temporary housing for families affected by sarcoma who come to Houston to receive treatment from doctors who specialize in treating sarcomas. The Amschwand Sarcoma Cancer Foundation was the first and only non profit to focus equal attention on increasing awareness, research and tangible support for families affected by sarcomas.

The Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative
Description of Organization's Mission:
The Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative undertakes activities that help improve the quality of life for people dealing with sarcoma. Central to this mission are our goals of increasing public awareness of sarcoma and the lack of young adults in cancer based clinical trials and raising funds for sarcoma related research. We believe that increased public awareness of sarcoma will lead to increased research funding and that research will ultimately lead to a cure for sarcoma.
We also support organizations that provide programs to directly aid and help sarcoma patients.
